We like Alesha Dixon, we really do, and because we suspect she could make a phone call and have us killed were we to say anything disparaging here, we’re going to focus on the positives (big hits with Mis-Teeq, good at dancing) and not the negatives (uninspiring solo career, has presented The National Lottery).

Smouldering, big-eyed and just downright sexy, Alesha was always our favourite in Mis-Teeq, the dangerously hot all-girl troupe who scored it big with Scandalous, but no one was more surprised than us when she rocked up on Strictly Come Dancing. And then proceeded to own it. Respect, girl, respect.

63. Jessica Simpson - Southern charm

Thanks to her excellent utilisation of tiny hotpants in The Dukes of Hazard and a refusal to make a music video that isn’t outrageously sexy, Jessica Simpson is by far the hottest girl to ever think Buffalo wings were made from Buffalo.

From a young age, her curvaceous frame ensured she was too steamy for the Texan Christian pop scene she was destined to become a part of, and despite a ropey cover of Robbie Williams’ Angels, has become a fantastic reason to have a guilty interest in pop music.

When a 16-year-old girl knows she’s attractive, she can use that power to devastating effect. Which is exactly what Madeline Zima’s character, Mia, does in Californication. Mia uses her feminine wiles to bed David Duchovny, who doesn’t realise she’s 16. “I knew a lot of girls like her when I was 16,” she recalls, “and I was wilder than I am now by a long shot. So if I can’t relate my own experiences to her, I use people that I knew at that time who were that wild.”

Luckily, Zima is actually 23 – a long time since her first gig in a nappy advert in 1987.
